Paul:
What Al describes is actually called a 'motor-generator' set (or an MG). If
you ask for a vibrator, they will sell you a little tin can about 1" by 3",
which is typically used inside the radio to convert DC to chopped AC for
the transformers. This is part of the high voltage B supply (Hundreds of
volts!) within the radio and wouldn't be suitable for a 6-12 conversion. An
MG will do the job, just be sure and find one that puts out enuff current!
