For what it=B4s worth in this discussion the MB, GPW, CJ2A, CJ3A, CJ3B,
M38A1 and the M151A1 were all officially referred to as "jeeps" (e.g.
JEEP, M151A1, 4x4, PERSVG, 24V) in the Danish Army.

I=B4ve only experienced the M38A1 and the M151A1 in my time and they
were both referred to as jeep=B4s among us.

Their successor, the Mercedes Gel=E4ndewagen (MERC, 240GD/28, 4x4,
PERSVG, 24V, D) is referred to as a "GD" (and NOT a "jeep" !).
Have a nice day :-)
