LIST
I have a'53 M38A1 with a chronic problem. After it's been running for 40
minutes or so it starts running rough and won't idle without eitlher "choking
" or adding more throttle. The problem seems worse in rough terrain but that
could be my imagination. The engine is the f-134 with a Carter YF(civillian)
carb. I can't really tell if it's starving for gas or flooding out since i'm
too busy "babying " the gas pedal to look at the color of the exhaust.
Over the last 7years i've been through the carb.,fuel pump,fuel tank(new
bottom), fuel fillter in tank, and the vent on top of the tank is working.
The next thing I suspect is the float in the carb.maybe filling up with
fuel (might have missed that in the carb. rebuild)

Anyone else have the same problem or any more ideas?
Thanks in advance,

Mark Atchley
