Hi,
We're restoring an April, 1943 GPW and need some parts. We've blown a
lot of money already so please be kind! We already have talked with
Archer, Surplus City and Beachwood. We're trying to beat their prices.

We also broke nearly every bolt taking the body apart. Is there a list
somewhere that says what size bolts go where? We have the tech manuals
and the parts manual but most of the body bolts aren't specified as far
as we can tell, especially those bolts that hold the tub to the frame.

Also, we've seen a lot of restorations where the pieces and parts were
all photographed before reassembling. Is there a reason for this? Do
buyers ever want to see this?

One last question: Has anyone had experience with Beachwood's vinyl top?
This is going to be a daily commute vehicle (2 miles) and we need a top
that both looks original and can withstand a few years of California
sun.
