Hi,

As well as my usual annual update posting of the worlds biggest MV show
'Beltring', here are also details of other future major MV events.

'BELTRING 98'......... is scheduled for the period 17th to 19th July
(but as usual in real terms covers 14th through 17th at the very least).
The venue is still the Showgrounds of 'Whitbread', at Paddock Wood in
Kent. Although the grounds are now under new ownership, the venue has
been guarenteed for several years to come. With in excess of 2,000
vehicles and more than 40 tanks, from WW1 to the present day, and
representing all the Axis and Allied powers of WW2. The 'BELTRING',
show organised by IMPS (Invicta Military Vehicle Preservation Society),
is the worlds largest event of it's kind.

'BERLIN AIRLIFT 50th Anniversary'.........Templehof Airfield, Berlin
26th to 28th June 1998. The German Technical Museum in conjunction
with the City of Berlin are organising the commemoration of this
important event. Stricly WW2 vehicles of the three Western Allies which
originaly took part in the operation are invited. One of the other
major sponsors is the South African Airforce, which is planning to bring
in a fleet of DC3's. The two airfields of Berlin used for the airlift,
were Templehof used mainly by the Americans and Gatow used by the
British. Templehof is still operational making it an ideal venue.

'DDAY CELEBRATIONS'..........the 55th anniversary of DDAY celebrations
for June 1999 in Normandy, France, are well into the organisation stage,
with as usual much of the accommodation and camping already taken well
before hand. The main celebrations are in the areas of Arromanches and
Bayeaux, this event with major MV participation once every 5 years is a
must for the serious MV collector.

'PROMOTE MILITARY PARACHUTING WITH ROUND CANOPIES'.......the Association
of British Military Parachutists actively supporting the British Special
Forces Charities, is organising the fifth annual trip to the
Netherlands. Be one of a stick making a military style stand up
parachute exit fom a large plane. Monday 4th May is the start of of our
Dutch Wings Parachute Course, when everybody including first timers can
earn their wings in just a few days on an eight jump course. Two of
which are military style.
