QUESTION: ?? will a UNIMOG wheel fit a Kaiser M-715 ? (read #2)

Hi! This is Al Krason here in Denver, Colo. and welcome Klaus to
Military
Vehicles of all kinds & speeds, forum, and UNIMOGS !! (read #1)

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> # ONE <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

Hi Klaus ! I see that you are now on the Military Usenet, & FSJ Usenet,
I have been following you on the Mog Usenet, I know that you own a 404 S
Military UNIMOG (which was developed around 1948? & has all the stuff
the
HUMMER has now, except price & load capacity of the UNIMOG).

I am still looking for a diesel (military ? possible !)
Mog here in Denver, so far not good, I'd prefer diesel Mog hard cab
around
73'. about $12-15 K. tilt 3 way bed. It will be for personal & company
use
in the construction of a log cabins (for hikers) The access is to the
sights
is VERY,VERY limited & the only Vehicle that will make that trek is a
diesel,
short bed UNIMOG to an altitude of 10,000 to 14,000 feet. and carry
6,000 lbs,
of cargo. Well there is the Sky Crane helicopter, ($5000/hr.) !!
Sorry about all that, it just I am looking so hard,
I will have to rent a UNIMOG ?? I would like to buy one, do
the work and then keep it. And So, Klaus I would like to ask you a
question about Mog stock wheels the 20" (inch) drum brake type.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> # TWO <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

I own M-715 Kaiser Jeep 67, I want to install taller tires, and since
there is nothing that will work off the shelf, like standard wheels
to mount taller tires, I have seen that I can go to a 20" inch wheel
and still have enough clerance to mount 1100x20 tires. The UNIMOG has a
six bolt pattern and it is a 20 inch wheel, the question is do you know
what is the distance (across the center, lug hole to lug hole)on the
UNIMOG is ??
(like the 404, 406, drum brake six bolt UNIMOG etc..).
The offset looks ok?
I am planning to install a GM 6.5 diesel that will pull the truck,
I have to have the optimum range of 1500-1800 rpm in order to get the
maximum torque out of the engine with those tall tires.

Al Karson.. from Rocky Moutain High Colorado...Thanks !!!
