The Diesel engined Lee's, Grants and M31's were made by Baldwin Locomotive works during 1942/3 and were as follows:

M3A2 12
M3A3 322 [ 49 to UK as Grant II's - 77 to Brazil ]
M3A5 591 [ 185 to UK as Grant II's - 23 to Brazil ]
M31B1 150 [ new build ]
M31B1 146 [ converted M3A3's mostly ]
M31B2 2 [ converted M3A5's ]

Contrary to what has appeared in a number of publications, including zaloga, most of the Lee's received by Russia were M3/M3A1 version.
