Colin,

The Canadian manufactured Mk II series of carriers also featured that rolled
top edge; the wooden 'railing' was only found on the Mk1 series. Either
Raphael has, as you suggested, mounting holes around the top edge (or angle
iron upon which the rails would have sat), in which case it's a Canadian
Mk1*, or else a plain edge (British), or a rolled edge (Cdn MkII). Be nice if
he could post a pictorial of his restoration...?
