I have recently come across a very good condition radio box. It looks
like it holds a VRC-10 and an extra reciever trasn. It is about
4-5ftx3x2.5 ft. It has radio brackets in the interior and is made of
alum. It has a plexyglass front with four 5 inch dia holes with plugs.
one both sides are waterproof cable holes to run the mic, speaker and
verious other devices. I was told it was marine corps by the man who
has it. He is an ex-marine and now is a surplus dealer. Is this true,
he said it was used to keep the radio dry in landings and in very wet
climates. Does anybody have any other info about this box. It goes
across the rear area of a M38 or M38A1 and does not allow a rear seat to
be installed.
Please any info as to use and history would be very helpfull. thanks in
advance.

Jason
