Here, in Australia the army aquired abou=
t 600 1940-41 30cwt Ford Marmon-
Herringtons , mainly for use as artillery tractors. A few restored exampl=
es exist, the 18 inch tyres being a hard to find item.
I also know of a restored 1/2 ton Ford =
Marmon -herrington 4X4 , fitted with a open cab and the "Jailbar " grill.
Are there many other examples surviving =
in other countries ?
The Aust. army types were fitted with =
a soft-top roadster type cab with half
doors. I think these cabs were only made here .
Hoping to hear from anyone else with =
an interest in Marmons.
