[MV] Armored kit for M151

I just got back from the National Archives in Washington DC. While doing
research I came across a photo of a M151 fitted with an armor kit. It
was made of 1/4 inch hardened steel and 2 1/4 inch laminate glass. It
also had a mine resistant skid plate on the bottom. Has anyone ever run
across this kit as surplus or in the service. I understand why it was
developed I just want to know if it was ever issued.
