The list's M29 owners

I was just thumbing through the tracked section under USA in Bart
Vanderveen's latest 'Historic Military Vehicles Directory', looking
unsuccessfully for details on the armoured version (shoe box)
Caterpillar D4. When I spied the picture on page 386 of the M29 (also
published in an earlier 'Wheels & Tracks').

I was present when the picture was taken in the early morning fog in
Bastogne in December 1984. The vehicle was absolutely pristine and had
been found in almost original condition before restoration. The
driver/owner is the Belgian collector and leader of the 'Indian Head'
group, Andre Whitemeur who lived in the area before moving to Liege and
on to bigger vehicles. Throughout the 70's and early 80's Belgium was
one of the worlds best scources for collectors of WW2 USA vehicles and
parts, and to my mind still has some of the best WW2 museum's.
