When I went to Europe in 89, I could only take one coat, my WW2 truckers coat.
I used Thompson's on it and it worked quite well as a rain coat (which is what I
wanted). I did make it somewhat stiff though. For a bed tarp I would not think
that a problem.
RE Radiator recore. $320 is a good price. I was quoted $500!\
