I've been on the list for a while so I know there's LOTS of wisdom out
there. My question is, could I ever, in my wildest dreams, potentially
own a Humvee? (No, the civilian Hummer will not do! Something
fundamentally wrong with leather seats and a CD player in that type of
vehicle.)
I've browsed the DMRO, DLA, etc. web pages and know all about being able
to bid on one that's been crushed, but I have no interest in a hunk of
metal that, at one time, was a Humvee. Absolutely criminal to crush
any military vehicle, in my opinion!
I've read a lot about you folks going overseas to get vehicles. Is that
the route to follow for the Humvee also? Are they attainable now, or
will I have to wait until they are phased out in favor of another
vehicle?
