[MV] 24V systems have real 28 Volts!

You are right. There are no real 24V systems, when the generator/
alternator is working, you have exact 28 VDC in the system.

It's the same with the 12 V systems. In a normal car with so called
12 V system, you have a voltage of exact 14 Volts, when the generator
is running. If your generator would provide real 12V, you battery
will be empty, soon. Look on the data plate of the generator in your
modern car. It will show 14 V!

It's also the same with the 6 V systems. There you have real 7 Volts!

The aircraft men describe the real existing voltage needed for their
equipment, the vehicle men use the old historical but technical wrong
terms. Who knows why?

So if you have any 28V aircraft equipment, you can use it without any
trouble in a 24V vehicle and vice versa.
