You wouldn't even need to modify them. Use standard NPT (pipe thread)
to flare unions. They'll screw right into the holes and provide a standard
connection. Then just make the required lines from push on (barbed) hose
ends and appropriate tubing putting the pump and cooler in line. "Drain
hole -----> Pump -------> Cooler ------> Fill hole" would be good for a
system. If the transfer is prone to creating trash then put a filter before
the pump to avoid damaging it. There are several kinds available. Be
careful with pump selection; the automotive electric pumps (that I know
about) are meant for fuel and gear oil is much too thick for them to live
long. Add some gear oil to account for what is out of the case in the
system too, or it may be cooler but low on oil and that isn't good either.
If you need help with manufacturers/parts for this system/stuff let
me know. We do this all the time in racing (but not with electric pumps,
you're on your own for that part).

Good Luck,
