20166746 is a possible hood number for a '42 WC 53, with 81580961 the
chassis number. The order number that goes with this combination is
W-398-QM-11422 and there were 4811 made in that batch. It should have
a body number tag on the passengers door frame too, in the form
4249-XXXX.
Normally only the 81580961 would be stamped on the frame at the
factory, so it is likely that at some time someone has just transferred
all the visible numbers to the same area of the chassis. The 8158
number will be stamped in about 3 / 8 " lteers and quite faintly ? with
all the others being different size and a slightly different font I
suppose.
For further info get a Master Parts List (expensive) or a copy of
'Dodge Military Vehicles - Collection No 1' (cheap)
