<< 1-Am I correct: The lowest (numerically) rear end gears you can put in the
diff. are 4.56 w/o changing the carrier.

A: I am not sure on this.

2-What type of Military trailer was used with the M715/M725 if any?

A: THE M101, M101A1 WAS THE TRAILER USED BEHIND THE 715. AMBULANCES DID PULL
TRAILERS IN NORMAL USE.

3-Am changing engines (although 230 runs well), and like 6 cyl. ones due to
ease of working on and access and lack of real mechanical skill, GM 292 is my
choice. What do you think?

A: THE EASIEST CONVERSION IS THE 350 CHEVY, AS THE CONVERSION KITS ARE ALREADY
IN PRODUCTION AND YOU DO NOT HAVE TO CUT UP THE TRUCK. IT ALLOWS THE USE OF
THE STOCK T98A TRANNY, WHICH IS VERY HEAVY DUTY.

4-Brakes, I understand are getting harder to do (read $) and find parts for.
Want to change to newer drum/drum or disk/drum. Suggestions?

A: I WOULD LIKE TO HEAR FROM OTHERS ON THIS, AS I DONT KNOW. A POWER BRAKE
CONVERSION TO THE STOCK SYSTEM IS POSSIBLE AND FAIRLY STRAIGHTFORWARD.

5-Wheel's, not too much of a fan of split rims. whats the alternative re: any
other stock wheel with same bolt pattern? Stock tire size seems ok but might
go larger (read taller) one. Comments?

A; THERE ARE NO STOCK WHEELS THAT I HAVE FOUND THAT WILL FIT THE CUSTOM BOLT
PATTERMN OF THE 715 SERIES WHEELS. YOU CAN HAVE YOUR CENTERS CUT OUT AND
WELDED TO DROP RIM WHEELS, WHICH I HAVE SEEN DONE. THEY LOOK STANGE, HOWEVER.

6-Window/door mechanisms . Mine currently has drivers window mech. out but
there. Door handles in-op and would like locking doors. Any suggestions on
windows and doors for 715/725's?

A: THE DOOR GUTS FROM EARLY GLADIATOR PICK UPS WORK, AND PROVIDE A SOURCE FOR
DOOR PARTS. DO YOU HAVE A 715 OR 725?
