I had a similar problem that turned out to be rust inside the gas tank fuel
tube. Tank looked fine inside and out but there enough rust that gas could
only seep rather than flow through. I would leave my shop and the jeep would
sputter and die at almost the same spot everytime. Check your fuel filter and
carb bowl for rust particles or rusty colored gas.
