I use 80-90W gear oil in my M715. The lube spec calls for 80W in winter
and 90W in summer, so the multi-vis works fine for year-round. I don't see
the sense in putting expensive gear oil in a truck that will most likely
have some amount of leaks. Also, at $9/2gal on sale, gear oil is cheap.

As to getting it in, this is easy in this truck with the high ground
clearance. I usually use a quart bottle of gear oil with the squirt top.
Because you can't squirt from the bottle into the filler holes easily, I
just attach an appropriate length of hose (preferably clear) and squeeze on
the bottle until it runs out the fill hole.
