Dear Steve,

this is a problem on all autojumbles/swap meets. The rarest and cheapest
parts are gone in the first hour.

In Germany we have on the second weekend of October the big autojumble
at Mannheim. Officially it is open to the public on Saturday and on Sunday.
Friday is open for the traders to build up their stalls. You can imagine,
that the best parts were sold on Friday among the traders. So the organizer=
s
opened the event for the public on Friday. Everybody who is willing to pay
an extra expensive "Insider-Ticket" can get in on Friday.

I can tell you, I bought my ultra rare 300 cc engine for my NSU MAX motor-
bike on Friday! So if you go to an autojumble/swap meet, do it as early as
possible. Sunday is useless if you are looking for rare parts.

It is also true, that the professional traders are buying the parts
from the private sellers and sell them later at much higher prices.
You can't complain of the behaviour of the traders, they want to serve
their customers. You can ask the private sellers, why they sell their
goodies to a trader at the beginning of the event.

Regards
Andreas

-Will be at Mannheim on Friday at noon. Be early...)
