With regards to your "Beached M151A2" You might ask the Department of
Transportation how they handle other "unsafe" vehicles such as the Ford
Model T which has no brakes on any of the four wheels and relies on a
brake within the transmission that requires readjustment every time you
go down a steep hill and also burns the headlamps out anytime you get
the vehicle over 40 miles an hour due to the lack of a voltage
regulator. I know that Washington registers those vehicles and many
other antiques that don't come anywhere near the safety standard that an
M151 could meet...
