Munch, munch, munch...it's not bad with salt and ketchup.
This is a BRIEF followup to my open letter to MVPA just before the convention.
Usually I would've made an open follow-up right away, but I have changed jobs
and boy what a change!!
The convention was great! Saturday I bought stuff I needed (and stuff I
didn't) and got my son some great rides on somebody elses mule (Can't remember
Cathy's last name, but my son loved it!) (and boy was she cute) and got him a
ride in a tank and met a lot of neat folks and generally had a teriffic time.
I went in first thing and paid the fee and the folks in the tent were great.
Warm, friendly, etc. In fact exactly what I was expecting before I went
through the website. I mention that I paid because their were no Ticket
Nazi's roaming the place and I could have dishonestly gotten in. I was
relieved to find the convention exactly what I had expected it to be in spite
of what I had read and heard. Thanks to all who obviously worked so hard to
make it so. I even enjoyed the food.
Now then, while I had every right to speak my mind on Arthur's forum (and
thank you sir for the opportunity) and I still think my points were well
worth mentioning and I stand by them, I was rightly chastised for not being
more decorus in my method. My tone should've been better and somewhat more
mature, my choice of words better, and also, as a former Marine and gentleman,
I should've Emailed MVPA first privately and given them a chance to respond
before doing the open letter thing. I know better.
There is a time and place for that kind of thing, but I certainly overreacted.
For my tone and method I apologise to both MVPA and you all, fellow listers
and gentlefolk. Mea Culpa.
Michael Sommer, in VA
(with feathers left on his plate)
As a footnote, you should have seen the quantity and tone of mail I got over
this. No response from MVPA yet. (The other reason I took so long to follow
up.)
Ok, now who knows anything about medium towbars, I need the links that hook
up to an M-37 for my new one!
