[MV] WC-51 found-Questions

Today I located a 44 WC-51. It has been sitting outside since about
'86, but is basically complete. All of the wood is gone off of the
bed, and the seat frame is gone. The data plates are in French and
list it as a 44, so it is a pretty safe bet that it is an ETO veteran.
The owner claims it ran a year ago, but I have my doubts. The cab is
in surprisingly good shape, giving its outside storage for the last
12-13 years, with solid floorboards. The engine appears complete, and
the transmission/transfer case levers move freely.

The following items definitely need to be replaced:
Front bumper(found repro in VPW ad)
Tailgate(found repro at VPW)
Headlights(the whole unit, not just the bulbs)
All wood
Seat frames
Top bows/frame(how did this work?)
Spare tire mount
Shocks
Combat wheels

Is any of this stuff difficult to find, or is most of it available?
Any ideas on sources? Any typical problems I need to be aware of
with these vehicles? The owner is asking $1500 but I think I can get
it for $1000. Is this as good of a deal as I think it is? I mess
around with lots of jeeps, but this is my first attempt with a Dodge,
so any help would greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance
Tim Glance
