When in doubt, ask the experts. Recently I found a Bantam trailer that a
local farmer has but I can't tell if it is a military trailer or if it
is a civilian trailer. Someone has painted it olive drab and put white
stars on it. There is a tail gate that looks well done. Also there is a
ball hitch in the front. There is a data plate on the trailer. It reads:
Model 13 - C Serial Number 2000. Is this civilian or military?
Also, here is an update from several months ago on a 1941 GMC AFKX-352
11/2-3 ton Small arms Repair Body truck that I found for those that
remember. I have found the owner and am negotiating with him. He is
willing to part with it and that is a miracle in itself. Does anybody
have one of these out there or know of someone? I know they are really
rare and I am concerned about parts. I also would like to take a head
count of actually how many survived. Let me know.
