[MV] stalling '42 GPW

I'm fairly new to MVs. My '42 GPW is cutting out after it warms up a
bit. I've checked the fuel pump and the spark. Some people told me
there is a resistor somewhere that may be causing this. I can't find
said resistor! Some say firewall, others say on the engine. What is
this "fantom" resistor for and where the heck is it?? I found one that
was put in after the electrical system wasconverted to 12v, couldthis be
it? If so, I still have the problem. BTW, I live in the Boise, ID area
and would love to talk to other Idahoans for a gathering.
