This is my first post here, so hopefully all goes well :)
Can anyone tell me if the serial number on a Willys MB-T trailer was stamped
on the frame anywhere as well as the nomenclature plate?
I managed to find one on a farm down here (Melbourne, Australia) a couple of
weeks ago. It's in fairly good condition but is missing the nomenclature
plate, the brake lever & cable. It's had the lunette eye swivel cut off and
the draw bar fitted with a conventional ball coupling and it's also had a
tailgate cut into the rear.
Basically, I'm trying to determine if I've bought the genuine article. I
have a copy of the MB-T TM10-1230 and it looks exactly the same as the
picture. I plan to begin restoration work on it as soon as my '43 MB is
finished.
