Had a friend who worked up there 4 years ago as a rent a cop-- Wore
BDU's and was issued an M-16A2 and M-9 Berreta , both marked.U.S.
Govt., on standard ALICE gear and had radio authentication challenge
cards with codes changed daily. Area is Air Force tracking station (
wink , wink, nudge, nudge) but was run by NSA and National
Reconnaissance Office as one of three Earth stations for Intel
satellites. Very nasty Security but strangely enough has a camping area
for use by active and retired military personnel. Is "bombing range "
unfenced? Or do you need a ninja suit to tip toe through the "
unexploded , dummy" ordnance?
