Todd:
In a book titled Jeep: Warhorse, Workhorse & Boulevard Cruiser by David
Fetherston. On page 25 He states that there was eight four-wheel-steering
models built by Bantam and Ford built 49 four-wheel-steering GPWs. You
might want to check out the latest issue of Jp Magazine Nov. 98 as there
is an article titled Hake's Heaven. Per the article Mr. Hake has
restored or have knowlege of most of the surviving early jeep prototypes.
His address/phone Ken Hake's Jeep Parts Dept. Jp P.O. Box 126 Tipton, Ks.
67485 ph-913-373-4145. He might be able to answer your questions on the
serial numbers and production numbers.
