I agree totally with this asessment, especially due to Littlefield's
reputation and also his high profile. The legal system is not totally without
fault (as we all know) and it may be a fortunate thing for Mr Littlefield that
he can afford the lawyers he may need for an issue that may not have been of
his doing. At least he won't need legal donations from us!!
Whenever the media panics, or sees a ratings opportunity, the truth becomes a
non-issue and we all lose. Those of us who collect weapons or military
vehicles or related stuff will be in ever increasing danger of losing the
things that frighten the ill-educated common man, someone who may or may not
have ever held a weapon, who grew up on TV that promotes violence but condemns
those who like to shoot targets, who stops you in the street and asks you with
a straight face if you are in a "militia" or something.
Doing public service stuff with our vehicles is a great idea, possibly playing
down the "dressing up to look the part" part. Blue jeans and a shirt go a
long way to making us look more "normal", whatever that means. Guess it
depends partly on where you live. mike in va
