I'm not sure, what the US colour code is, but the international used
colour code for gas cylinders is:

oxygen =3D blue
acetylene =3D yellow
other flammable gases =3D red=20
nitrogen =3D green
other inert gases =3D grey

And a screw up cap to protect the valve when the bottle is
not connected is essential!
