Hi Dan, it will be 8151xxxx, virtually all WC Dodges had 8 digit
serials, but the guys who were stamping them must have got tired
easily. Chassis just hit the line and bodies got put on, especially
where, as with the T215, most of the chassis were the same wheelbase.
I have seen factory shots where several body-type lines were running
parallel too, and observed that some of the figures don't add up. I
do have two T112s made only 83 chassis apart, and there is 84 between
the body numbers, but the correspondance isn't as close as. say, GPWs.
On the bright side it does mean that a given chassis is more often
'right' for a particular restored vehicle and the critics cant get at
you. The Dodge Master Parts list (available from Portrayal or Vintage
Power Wagons) list lost of chassis serials and part numbers that were
only used on individual truck types if you REALLY want to go and do
some research, but most of the chassis were basically the same.
Lots of info in the 'Dodge Military Vehicle, Collection No 1' book on
this types and sixzes, etc.

regards, Gordon
