Hi,

Joe's right on the ball again, a small leak from the pump shaft has the
infrequent drops taking a very long path down the block until they're
obliged to drip off something.

Do double check the pump I've had the run around with two pumps that are
water tight when running but leak when stationary, the first old one
wasn't too bad to diagnose but a new, boxed, replacement pump with the
same fault caused weeks of aggravation.
