Several people asked to see pictures of the 6 x 6 M37 that I found in the
mountains west of Denver. It is NOT for sale. The truck was custom made by
replacing the M37 rear-end with a rear-end from a WC 62. Then, two M37 beds
were joined together. Also, the stock M37 engine was replaced with a Dodge
360 V8 engine. The original M37 transmission was used, allowing the stock LU4
Braden winch to be driven by the PTO. Interestingly, everything about the cab
is stock M37. All of the levers work as normal. Only difference I could
determine was the windshield wiper motors were electric as opposed to vacuum
powered. The floorboard was not cut or hammered in, I assume because the M37
transmission was used. Troop benches and side boards had one bracket added to
each, and longer wood was cut. The project was not made to be put in a
museum, and it is driven frequently. Next week, the owner is using it for elk
hunting in the national forests. Enjoy!
