[MV] Grease gun cover and jeep bag?

Hi List,

At a swap meet on the weekend, I bought a khaki canvas bag marked

"COVER GREASE GUN - C6943"

It's about 18" long by 7" wide and divided into two long compartments
with an envelope style end flap secured by a blackened-brass
press-snap. The construction of the bag suggests possibly an early
war US origin.

Anyone recognize what vehicle/s it's for or seen a similar one?

Also, if anyone has one (even a repro), I'm still looking for a
description of a WW2 jeep spare parts bag ie., not the tool bag but
the bag used to hold the spares kit issued with the jeep.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Regards,

David Robinson. Brisbane. Australia.
