Look on the right (passenger) side of the engine block, near the head
gasket, up front (behind the water pump). You will see a data plate
with the manufacturer's logo. This will identify make and model. IE:

Continental LDS 465-1A
White LDT 465-1C
Hercules Hypercycle LDS 427-2

Below this plate will be another data plate that tells what size cylinder
bore (std, .010, .020, .030) and what size crankshaft bearing journals
the engine has. It will also give the date (mo/yr) of the rebuild.
Hope this helps. Happy hunting!
