As i was looking at wartime jeep photos this evening i noticed somethng
thats puzzled me for awhile. Photos show jeeps with the safety strap dash
ring mounted horizontally and vertically. These are all wartime photos mind
you and they seem to be about half and half. any theories about this
early/late ford/willys?

second, on the first few pages of the book "Jeep goes to war" there is a
photo of a MB coming out of a CG4A glider. If you look carefully at the
photo it appears that this jeep is camoflaged in a similar pattern to
british/canadian mickey mouse pattern. I thought most camo'd jeeps were
used by the marines or the army in North Africa.

just some idle thoughts any ideas?
