Someone on the list mentioned that if you can get the stuff the military
uses, you'll get the job done. I don't remember what it's called, maybe
someone can fill us in.
I use a real smooth compound that's made for removing the scratches
made in paint with the regular "white" rubbing compound. I got it at a
NAPA Auto Parts store. It's a liquid in a plastic bottle and it takes a bit
of rubbing, but I have had good results with it. In real problem cases, I
took the doors and curtains to a car convertible top installer and had
new plastic sewn in (the same plastic they use in the convertible tops).
