Hi List,
Came across a reference to the use of Civilian trucks in WWI as
Vickers Machine Gun trucks. Since I have a Class III Vickers and
reenact WWI, this caught my interest.
Now I got a wild hair( as the old saying goes) and want to look into
building a period truck from repro parts. Like Jeeps, you can build a
new Model A or T entirely from reproduction parts (or so I have been
told)
Anyone on the list also into pre 1918 vehicles that could steer me in
the right direction.
The Brits probably didn't use Fords and I doubt I will find something
like a Bently to reproduce, but the Canadians used Fords and a
Canadian friend is sending me a photo of a truck w/Vickers and crew.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
