Actually, only the Wing Commander's Staff car will ever have a white =
roof.....In slang, it's the "Wing King's White Top." As a Transportation =
Operations Officer I was very familiar with that car at whatever base I =
was stationed at. Any funny noises, loose bolts, scratches on the paint, =
I heard all about and had to fix them, usually before he was out of his =
next meeting, because General So and So was coming. He may be able to =
authorize others to have it but I never knew of one that did...one of =
those status things.
My Two Cents,
Sean

Color was " Strata Blue , number 15045 of Federal Standard =
595 ,
spec. 11-E-485 "
AND For what it's worth--- " Tops of Administrative vehicles
(sedans, buses, station wagons, carryalls, or jeeps) may be painted
gloss white ( Full Gloss White # 17875 ) at discretion of base
commander.
