After 15 mile trip (top speed 40mph down hill; would only go 35 on
level) I examined things and found gas at base of carb and noticed a
few drips from near mid gasket both front
and rear. This stopped after a bit. The number 6 1658 appears on the
front of the carb.
My rig has had the mil spark plugs replaced with civ and for some
reason I pulled one of the spark plug wires out of the distributor. The
spark plug wires on all four (one some what corroded) were merely
contacting by proximity. Well it worked, but there must be a better way,
for that matter I don't see the economy of civ plugs, how many sets will
I buy in a lifetime.
Gurus: tell me what to do. I can get it to Portland, Oregon, but I have
no Idea who is competent on these things. I'm not. Richard
