I live in Idaho and it is not uncommon to see trainloads of tanks and APC's
coming and going. Gowen Field near Boise is a National Training Range for
Armored NG units for Desert Warfare, and the guard units ship their tanks
in and out for exercises. Used to work in a building accross the street
from the main railroad line and it was not uncommon at all to see armor
going by, or parked on the siding. During some recent tensions I kept
thinking that I'd be dead meat should someone launch an airstrike on the
trainload of stuff. Ft Lewis has an armored unit as one of my friends is a
Capt. in one. He was rotated to Bosnia this summer, but has returned now.
Could be going anyplace, but wish they'd leave one off at my place to play
with. Howard, 45 GPW, 76 M886
