[MV] M38A1 now goes 45mph!

Collective advice to keep it under 50 mph was observed on todays test
run.
A1 still goes great, but still leaks fuel from center of carb.(front and
rear near throttle shaft)on shutdown. However, now it runs down sides
and does not drip as before. Mechanic doesn't think the STC white
bottle carb cleaner I dumped in fuel tank when adding fuel yesterday is
going to solve this problem.
Plugs were all a little sooty after 20 minute road run. Am asking for
observations and a good source for a complete carb. kit (including
float) as local parts is unable. Also want mil.distributor and original
ignition wires. Assume I can get mil. plugs locally. The carb. is Carter
YF with # 6 1658 and "c" and "r" in circles on forward face. Any
additional help is appreciated. Richard.
