When I was shipping my Carryall from Texas to the UK I was offered
insurance, on checking exactly what was covered I found that accidental
damage and theft was not covered, but that I would get the full value of
the vehicle if the boat sank............
Since the Carryall was in pretty poor shape I opted out of the insurance -
I wouldn't recomend you do the same, but do check you are getting value
for what you pay. If all you are getting is 'total loss' coverage you may
want to take the risk.
