Well I think Guilt vs Innocence falls to our favor. This guy was a crazed
lunatic who stole the tank from a National Guard armory and went on a rampage.
I see many differences between this violent felon and a law-abiding citizen
who purchases an antique military vehicle be it a jeep, a tank, or a truck and
restores it for use in parades, reenactments, or just for their own personal
pleasure. I can think of very, very few circumstances where someone who has
gone through the trouble of locating, legally purchasing, and restoring a
military vehicle is going to feel much inclined to drive it over someone's RV,
garbage cans or highway median. If I ever have $60,000 to buy a sherman tank
with I can promise you that picking a fight with the Nebraska State Patrol
will be very near the absolute end of my list of things to do, somewhere in
the same area as major dental surgery with a rusty hammer and no anesthetic.
