[MV] Diamond T Wiring problem

Thankyou to all of you who took the trouble to respond with advice. I took
off the cranking motor for the umpteenth time today and with the help of an
expert ascertained that that the armature had a direct short (ground) to
earth. Because the vehicle is positive earth the batteries were running down
through this earth regardless of the starter switch postion, simple really!!
