MILITARY VEHICLE PRESERVATION ASSOCIATION

1999 SPRING MVPA RALLY

Hit the RED BALL HIGHWAY and join the-Mid-South Chapter, MVPA, for its 1999
Spring Military Vehicle Rally. A weekend of fun and fellowship is planned.
Come and display your current project, find a needed item at our fun-filled
auction, participate in military vehicle exercises (games), go on a MVPA
trail ride, or just enjoy the fellowship of other military vehicle
enthusiasts and their families. Reenactors will provide a living history
demonstration.

On Saturday and Sunday, May 8-9, 1999, at the US Army Reserve Center, (330th
Combat Support Hospital), on Naval Support Activity Mid south located in
Milling ton, TN, will be alive with historic military vehicles and
equipment. This facility has both indoor and outdoor display spaces, so the
weather WILL NOT BE a problem. No entry or registration fee to attend or
display!!!

Saturday night we will have a buffet banquet, prize presentation and auction
followed by a 1940's era dance. These activities will take place at the NSA
Mid south Helmsman's Club, which is just down the street. The banquet will
feature-roast beef, ham, turkey, and all the trimmings. Banquet tickets are
only $18.50 each or $35.00 per couple. Hors d'oeuvres provided by Memphis
Equipment Co., the Nations largest dealer of Army trucks and parts.

Be sure and bring items excess to your needs to put in the auction, and
bring your billfold to take home some treasures! The chapter will receive
10% buyers' commission on all items sold. Of course, donations to the
chapter are gladly accepted

We anticipate more than 30 vehicles of different eras. Some examples

Things to Remember

NSA Memphis is an active US Navy facility. It is the new home of the US
Navy Bureau of Personnel. If you meet any of the personnel stationed there
please thank them for being so kind as too allow us to use the base.

ABSOLUTELY NO LIVE WEAPONS, AMMUNITION OR ALCOHOL are allowed on NSA Memphis
property. Naval Security personnel are very serious about this.

They are also serious about posted speed limits. Observe and obey-traffic
rules and you will have no problems.

- Bring a drip pan for each of your vehicles.

If you have more to sell than you are comfortable placing in the auction
please call Denis Moody, 901-835-4427.

Have fun. This rule will be strictly enforced!
