Hi list:

Muriatic acid is extremely caustic, so be careful. It is sold in
hardward stores and pool supply stores. About $2.oo a gal. I use it
alot to clean STEEL parts. Rusty nuts and bolts , even brake drums it
works wonders and is really fast. I use a small PLASTIC tub to
submerse parts in. After they are clean, rinse with water. Then you
must submerse in a stop sollution ( baking soda and water ) Then rinse
again and dry with clean rag and paint. You must do this OUTSIDE!!!
And upwind DO NOT BREATHE THE FUMES!!! And use rubber gloves. And
never do this to ALUMINUM or POT METAL it will desolve in seconds! Good
luck......Dave Roberts
