I looked up the spec for this and it is actually stated as 1000 revolutions
of the shaft per mile. If you do a little simple math this means that there
should be 16.667 revolutions per minute for 1 mile per hour on the dial
which (I had it correct believe it or not!) comes to 1000 rpm of the cable
for a reading of 60 mph (or the metric equivelant). Wether this is a world
wide standard I don't know, but I would assume so.
