I would wholeheartedly agree with the answer je gave, additives are very
good for the makers bank balance, their efficacy in service is
questionable at the best. Why don't the multi-national oil companies
already formulate their much trumpeted products with these substances I
wonder. . . . . .

There was an old trick here to mask a noisy gearbox and/or diff when
selling an old dog, I DO NOT suggest you try it, sawdust in the gearbox
and a pair of nylon stockings in the diff makes them very quiet; for a
while. . . . . . .
